I am Lisa Childs, a qualified, assessed and accredited Dog Trainer and Clinical Animal Behaviourist with over 20 years experience.


I support clients and their dogs from early puppyhood, through adolescence, into adulthood, rescue dogs from many backgrounds and clients

looking to resolve complex behaviour issues.


Based in Smallfield, I cover Horley, Crawley, East Grinstead, Reigate, Redhill, Oxted, Godstone, Lingfield and many surrounding areas. 


I am also a Tellington TTouch Practitioner P1 for Companion Animals and a Dynamic Dog Practitioner.

How I work

I specialise in assisting owners and their dogs, offering guidance whether you have a puppy beginning its training, are facing challenges with a young or adolescent dog, wish to teach your dog new skills, have welcomed a rescue dog and want to help them gain confidence, or have a dog with behavioural concerns. I am here to help with all these situations and more.


My approach is always based on kind, fair, modern, and effective techniques. I never use or endorse any training methods that may cause fear, stress, or pain to your dog.

About me

My love of animals began in childhood. Over the years, I have shared my life with a range of species, including dogs, cats, and chickens, and I spent many years involved with horses.

 

I am a qualified and ABTC-accredited Dog Trainer and Clinical Animal Behaviourist, as well as an assessor in this field. Additionally, I hold certifications as a Tellington TTouch Practitioner for Companion Animals (P1) and as a Dynamic Dog Practitioner (Licence no. 230601).

 

My philosophy centres on building trust and understanding between dogs and their guardians, ensuring that every training plan is tailored to the unique needs of each animal. I am passionate about helping clients to truly appreciate their individual dog and supporting them to overcome any challenges, while promoting both emotional and physical wellbeing. Using a kind, respectful approach, I assist clients and their dogs through all life stages, from early puppyhood through adolescence and into adulthood, including those with rescue backgrounds or complex behavioural issues.

 

Outside of work, I am passionate about nature. I enjoy bird watching, gardening, walking and cycling, as well as engaging in art and creative hobbies.

  • A distinction in the Dynamic Dog Practitioner Training Course - May 2023
